Explore the MoMA floor maps for a seamless experience

When you enter the museum from 53rd street, the first floor welcomes you with exhibits that periodically change throughout the year. Don't miss the must-see ‘Sculpture Garden’, an outdoor space filled with unique sculptures and installations.

On the second floor, you will find MoMA's collection of art from 1980 to the present, including special exhibitions, prints, illustrated books, and media. Café 2 and the museum store are also located here on this floor.

As you make your way across the third floor, you’ll find three galleries dedicated to architecture, design, and photography. Explore models, furniture, and everyday objects that showcase innovative design. Be sure to check out ‘Emerging Ecologies’ in the Johnson Galleries which showcases the relationship between architecture and environmentalism.

Home to the Painting and Sculpture Galleries, the fourth level display works from the 1940s to the 1970s. Here, you can find iconic works like Mark Rothko’s fields of color and Henri Matisse’s ‘The Swimming Pool’. Don’t miss Andy Warlhol’s famous ‘Soup Cans’ in Room 412.

On the fifth floor, you’ll find artworks showcasing pieces from the 1880s to the 1940s. This floor houses masterpieces like Vincent van Gogh’s The Starry Night and Paul Cézanne’s Boy in a Red Vest. Don't miss Pablo Picasso's groundbreaking ‘Les Demoiselles d'Avignon’ and Frida Kahlo's powerful self-portraits.

The sixth floor hosts the ‘Cohen Center for Special Exhibitions’. This space is dedicated to showcasing rotating exhibitions, often featuring works from influential artists like Donald Judd. Stop at the Terrace Café to enjoy a meal with a view from the top of the museum.

The lower levels house the ‘The Debra and Leon Black Family Film Center’. Explore the intersection of art and film, with a focus on avant-garde and experimental cinema. You will also find the lower level of the museum store here.
